Forget the gym, Go with home workouts

Are you tired of being out of shape? Well, you don't need a gym membership to get your butt into gear and shed those excess pounds. Whether you want to slim down or bulk up, you can do everything you need to right from the comfort of your home. Home workouts are becoming more popular as people realize they don't need to go to the gym to get the results they desire.

Just because you're working out from home, doesn't mean you need expensive gym equipment either. Home workouts only requires your body, not any of that fancy gym equipment you see on TV every other day. Body weight exercises are more than enough to get you into shape if you really work at it.

Sit ups and push ups are great basic exercises that you can do from pretty much anywhere. So if you're not sure where to start, start there. I'm pretty sure most of you remember how to do these from your elementary school days, but if not, you can easily find free videos online that will show you proper form and technique.

If you'd like to get in a good cardio exercise, then get out and go for a jog. Jogging and running are great cardio exercises that you can easily do for free, whenever you have some spare time. If you're not quite up to jogging but still want a good cardio workout, then try going for long walks or swimming instead. These will both give you a good workout without already needing to be in decent shape.

If you like more structured workouts than just doing random exercises throughout the day, then consider looking into some workout videos. You can either find free videos online or look into purchasing videos from your favorite professional trainers. These videos can be a huge help for those of you who are unsure of what to do beyond a few push ups here and there. It's a great way to get a butt-kicking workout without having to hire a personal trainer at the gym.

With the amount of information out there regarding home workout exercises, you can no longer use the excuse that you don't have time. There are plenty of workouts that are designed to give you a high impact workout in twenty to thirty minutes. There are also workouts that are designed you have you do simple exercises throughout the day.

A gym membership is no longer required to get you in shape. Home workouts can even be a lot better than going to the gym as well, especially for people who feel awkward about working out in public. Now you can finally shed those extra pounds or build up that much needed muscle in the comfort of your own living room.
