Will Americans ever Submit To Mandatory population Control?



The other day, we are having an interesting conversation at our think tank about exactly how many people could live in the United States comfortably without running out of resources. We were a little concerned because of some of the reports which had come out about how populations around the planet were overfishing our oceans, polluting air, running out of fresh water, and soon someday in the future fossil fuels. In many parts of the world overpopulation has already occurred. In the United States we don't see it because everything seems to be all right.

Still, this doesn't mean we should rest on our laurels, because if we continue to allow new immigrants into our country, and they along with us continue to have more babies, eventually we will run out of resources ourselves, and if the rest of the world is having trouble feeding themselves, they won't have any excess to send our way - at any price we might pay. Are you beginning to understand the problem? Now then, how many people can America hold, and what do we do when we reach our limits? Specifically will Americans ever submit to some sort of coercive or mandatory birth and population control?

One of our Supreme Court justices has nine offspring. If each one of those kids has nine more kids and so on, in a four or five generations that will equal a huge number. Suffice to say that everyone probably shouldn't do that, but Justice Scalia's excuse was; "What can I say, I am Catholic?" Okay so, therein lies another problem, and let's just call it religion or culture. We also know that Hispanic immigrants typically have more children, the Mormons have quite a number of kids, and we have other groups and cultures within our own society that seem to enjoy having large numbers of offspring.

In the future that just might not be possible. But would our citizens agree to only having two children per family therefore we would have zero population growth? Well it might surprise you to learn that 75% of Chinese approve the one-child rule, as per a 2011 Pew Research Survey. Of course, most of the people in China are of no religion, so they don't have the religious bias, and they are used to heavy-handed government telling them how to live, and what to do, indoctrinating them from very early age that this extreme authoritarian rule is for their own good.

My question is would that work here in the United States considering that Americans are so independent by nature. They don't like big government, and they certainly don't like being told what to do. So, one has to ask if mandatory population birth control would ever be possible here at home. Please consider all this and think on it.

World population control - What about birth tourism?



It has been postulated that sometime in the future humans are going to have to curb their population growth. This makes sense, and I think inherently anyone who has ever thought about it has come to the same conclusion. Nevertheless, where do you draw the line in the sand? Do you attempt to have draconian measures as they did in China with their one child strategy? And what if some nations choose to limit their population and other nations don't? What will happen then I ask? Okay so let's talk about this for a moment because the issue came up at our think tank recently.

Indeed, judging by history I would submit to you that if some nations have mandatory birth control or population control while other nations do not, then more people will travel to those other nations to have babies, or even migrate to live there. You may not know this, but birth tourism is something that China had to deal with from 1979 to 2011 during the enforcement of their one-child policy or family planning policy. Since couples could only have 1 child, which over that period prevented 400 million births, some would go to Hong Kong, Macau, and other places where those rules were exempt. About 40% of the population was subject to these rules.

Now this book may disturb you a little bit in its conclusions, but if you consider the 7 billion people on the planet today, obviously if you doubled that, and then doubled it again, and then one more time, then we would be eating ourselves out of house and home, and there would be far too many people on the planet. So do we curb our population growth today, slow it down a bit, allow people to live longer, and everything will be okay - or do we negate the reality that we have a problem and keep going and doing what we've been doing in the past?

You see, if we don't fix the problem we are going to have shortages of resources, food, clean water, health, energy, housing, and everything else. In which case human populations will collapse on their own accord due to the physical laws of nature - so we can either do something about it, or wait for the verdict from nature, and I guarantee you won't like it when it all does hit the fan. Please consider all this and think on it.

Okay so, he says it very bluntly, but what if the Gates Foundation is able to find the perfect condom, and what if they are able to make those condoms available for everyone? If everyone uses these there will be fewer births, less disease, and healthier humans. Maybe it is possible after all, maybe we need to get this one right, and maybe everyone who's giving the Gates Foundation flak for looking into this problem ought to think the problem thoroughly through before making their comments. Please consider all this and think on it.

Pre : workout meal



The Pre-workout intake is a snack that you take before your workout. It is the second most important meal of the day, complemented by post-workout snack. The little things, That Can Make A Big Difference In The Gym, And In Your Results



Sometimes we overlook the smallest things because we're so focused on going for our end goal. We end up missing small but valuable things that could help us get to our goals much quicker and more efficiently. Sometimes we tend to cut corners because we simply feel like it's much easier to do, or we simply just get lazy and do it just because we can. Little do we know we are only cheating our gains and could potentially be putting ourselves in harm's way. All of us at one point in time reach a plateau and sometimes we can't figure out why. The following are some observations I have made and also tested out in order to break off that plateau stage.

1. Utilizing proper posture and correct technique

I'll be the first to admit I have horrible posture most of the time. So for me to correct this in a gym setting was really hard to do. I had to keep reminding myself to correct my posture. Not only does correct posture help you out with your lifts, it also saves you from injury. It causes the muscle group you're working to work even harder, and saves you from cheat moves.

A good way to test this out is to try some curls with your back against the wall. Try using 20 percent of your max and focus on keep your back as straight as possible. I usually use 50's when I curl, and when I tried this I had trouble getting through a set of 8 at 30 pounds. It forces the bicep area to solely work and alleviates the stress off of your lower back.

I see people using really heavy weights swinging their backs wildly trying to look cool. Little do they know people don't give a crap about how much they can curl, all they are doing is setting up for an injury. The same goes for any other exercise you do in the gym. If you're cheating the lift and not doing it properly, you're just cheating yourself.

2. Not giving it your all

How many of you have left the gym thinking, "damn I'm not really that tired", or "I have something to do tomorrow, so I'll take it easy". The funny thing is we ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING TO DO TOMORROW. So this trend keeps going and you never really get anywhere.

The other thing is that we tend to have other excuses, so we don't put our all into it. The biggest excuse I hear about is when someone doesn't have a weight lifting partner so they can't go very hard. Well I've been lifting for almost 2 years alone, and I've forced myself to create a way I can safely go hard. The way I did this was by watching a few Greg Plitt videos. In one of the videos he stated these "When there's an obstacle in your way what do you do? Go around the damn thing and get to your destination".

3. Using equipment the wrong way

Not only is this a good way to get injured, but if you're not using the equipment right, you're not going to maximize your gains. Before you jump on a machine and go to work, study it or get someone who knows about the machine to explain its benefits and how to use it properly. I see way too many memes about people using machines the wrong way to get a workout in.

Let's put it this way, if the machine you're looking for is being used, don't use something completely different than what for what its intended purpose. Don't squat on the leg press machine, and vice versa. Not only do you look like you don't know what you're doing, but I can bet that people will be making bets on how long it is until you get hurt doing what you're doing.

4. Not using enough oxygen

Breathing is very important to your muscle gaining efforts. IF you're not breathing correctly, your muscles are not getting eh proper amount of blood to them. Without it, your efforts are going to be in vain, and you won't see the results you're hoping to eventually see. So if you don't know how to breathe correctly, ask someone who does know how to do it. If not, there are multiple videos online that can help you out with this problem.

5. Utilizing the trainers and those who work in the gym

All too often we think, "Well, they're too busy to help me so I won't even bother them". In reality this is the main reason that these people are in the gym in the first place. Ask them questions about things you may not know about. It may just save you some time and effort and even a trip to the doctor if you do. These people are trained professionals, and they know what to do, and what not to do.

Fitness nutrition for beginners



This is a massive topic. A topic that will take more than just one post. What you really need to grasp when you think about nutrition is that, nobody is the same. We all have different body types and our metabolisms all work differently. That being said, everyone can tweak their diet to get the results they need.

Conventional ways to dieting would be 5-6 meals a day, a couple protein shakes and maybe some vitamins here and there. That works for some people... It won't work for everyone though. I've tried many different diets in the past, from the conventional 6 meals a day, to carb cycling, paleo, and Intermittent fasting. To me what worked the best was carb cycling however that may not be the case for everyone. My body is very sensitive to carbs which I noticed from early on. In our Indian Community we have grown up on carbs, from rice to roti.

So this leaves us at the question, well what should I do? It's simple, but you have to figure it out. I'm going to focus on posting many different types of diets so people can choose something that works for them instead of fitting into a cookie cutter diet.

I'm going to start off with the basics of diet and nutrition.

Another very basic but important thing to remember is that it all comes down to math. If you eat more calories than your body can expend that you are going to gain weight, if you expend more calories than you eat, then you are going to lose weight. If you stay at maintenance, which means you burned just as many calories as you ate you will stay at maintenance then. Very simple but a concept many fail to remember.

So when it comes to foods and drinks what should you eat and what should you neglect? Well the simple ones are Soda and fast food. You should completely cut out all soda. It is not needed in order to make a strong healthy body.

Fast food is always packed with saturated and trans fats (which are not the good fats) and very calorie-dense. Fast food should be avoided, the occasional burger is not going to kill you, but this should not be something you are having a weekly basis nor should it be apart of your diet.

Soda is very harmful for your body in the large scheme of things, it is very calorie-dense, no nutritional value to you and it is dumping massive amounts of simple sugar into you. Soda cravings will be substantially reduced once you start sticking to water throughout your day. Make sure you get ample water and you are always hydrated.

Average cup of coffee has 95mg. of Caffeine.

Another area where people make mistakes is coffee. Coffee may look simple, but once you dig in, all the sugar and cream which is added to it can become a calorie-dense beverage as well. I stick to drinking black coffee at all times. I'm a coffee nut so I won't tell you not to drink coffee, but just be easy with it. You don't want to be tweaked out on caffeine all day and become dependent on it. Drinking your coffee black is a good first step on cutting those inefficient calories down.

Make sure you focus on your meals and the preparation. They should be traditionally cooked foods. Try consuming the least amount of junk food you can and try to eat healthy natural foods. These will be processed by your body much easier. A good rule of thumb is to eat foods that can be made by hand and not processed.

3-Best lower abdominal exercises



Leg raises


Leg raises are a real staple lower ab exercises, and can be performed on either a captain's chair or a pull up bar. Position yourself in the chair or hang from the pull up bar, and raise your legs upwards, keeping them as straight as possible. Make sure you go beyond the 90 degree 'L' shape- the bottom part of the movement targets your hip flexors more than your lower abs. If you are struggling to perform the exercise, don't worry- it is tough. Instead opt for the knee raise- the same exercise except your legs are bent at the knee. Again focus on going well past 90 degrees- range of motion is key in performing this exercise.

Scotties

I don't actually know the proper name for this exercise- my mate Scotty demonstrated it about 4 years ago and it has remained a staple of my abdominal workouts ever since. Take a 5kg plate, preferably one coated in rubber. Lay a gym mat out on the floor and lie face out, with your legs and arms extended. Hold the plate in your hands, draw both your arms and legs in, transfer the plate onto your shins, and then re-extend your body with the plate balancing on your legs. Now draw your legs back in and transfer the plate back into your arms- that is 1 rep- try 4 sets of 10-15 reps. If you find it tough, try a lighter weight, or indeed no weight at all.

The real benefit of this exercise is that it targets a huge range of muscles in your core- pulling your legs in works both your hip flexors and lower abdominals, and crunching up to grab the plate with your hands also works your upper core hard. Furthermore this is an exercise that you can make measurable progress- once you find 5kg easy, try and move up to 10.

Swiss Ball Roll Ins

Place a Swiss ball on the floor and balance your shins on top of it, keeping the rest of your body in the press up position- (as though you were about to form an elevated press up). Draw our knees in towards your stomach, allowing the ball to roll forward. Squeeze your abs and then re-extend your legs to the start position. Try 4 sets of 15-20 reps. This is a really effective exercise- not only does it work your lower abs, but your entire core has to work to keep yourself balanced upon the swiss ball.
